This Painting Winter Night by Alphonse Maria Mucha its representational background is stylized because of the its simplicity and its non-naturalistic conventional forms. It wants you to believe that its real but its just what the eyes want to believe and in the artist eyes its something very different. In the reading "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger is letting us know that the cultural presence of the woman is still very much different from that of the man. A women's presences is related to herself and not to the world. She doesn't represent potential but just of her herself. Berger simplifies this by arguing that "men act – women appear". Women feel others looking. They like to be observed. The surveying of women is men. Meaning that that there are different ways of seeing man and woman.

Great image- WHY only 137 words? also- review what we said about realistic, idealized and stylized figures-What do you mean when you say: "It wants you to believe that its real but its just what the eyes want to believe and in the artist eyes its something very different" I wish you had explained that.
