 "Thanks For the Mess, Mom!!"

I spotted this piece instantly after getting home. Most see this coffee mug and think "Who left this mess??", I see this and i see a beautiful monochromatic accidental artwork. What first struck me about this piece is the variety of brown tones. I focus the camera in an angle that clearly showed all the different brown tones in the piece. A beautiful dark brown tone is displayed in the inside of the mug and the in elk drawn in the front. The dark coffee spilled on to the paper towel displaying a much lighter tone of brown. The Coffee that spills down the side of the mug display a darker brown tone as it completely dried.  The elegant design printed on the napkin also is made up of a couple of different brown and dark red tones. Yet another element that makes this piece amazing is the coincidence that my mother worn a reddish brown lipstick adding to the variety o the brown tones displayed in the piece. Lastly that chair that the mug was place on is the darkest of all brown tones. I find it amazing that this artwork was done completely unintentional.

"Worn, Water-Spotted, Burnt Table or Exquisite Work of Art?" 

Here is a table is walk past every day in my living room. But today, I analyze the table an exquisite accidental work of monochromatic art. What strikes me about this work is the variety of brown tones. The table displays three different brown tones. First, the original color of the table is dark brown. Over time water that spills on the table soaks in and create these very light brown water-spots. On the top right had corner appears two dark brown tones. These two circles were unintentionally created when a hookah charcoal was dropped on the table. Lastly the background displays a combination of brown tones. This background consists of hardwood flooring with both dark and brown tones.

This l call brain matter. There organic shapes that forms in the inner and outer parts which makes it irregular and asymmetrical. The shapes seem to have a curving appearance. They are overlapping forms. there different shades of red that go from light to dark. The illusion of the spreading parts of the right side of the photograph. This picture l call it brain matter because out brain has lumps, curves, and very damaged areas. This picture was taking by the FDR in Manhattan.

Next, this one that caught my eye because it reminded me of little kids going in front of the line and to show off that they were always the tall, better and brighter. The shapes contain triangular figures. Line that go vertical and diagonal. The value of this photograph is light in the front to the very dark one at the end. This is also located in Manhattan,FDR. This is called bigger and better. 

Blog #4

 The fiirst accidental artwork is called Silhoutte. Found at Wiliam Cullen Bryant high school April 3-5 ,2014.a sculpture/installation. The style is abstract.  The black sarroubding the sculpture/installation is the negative space. The artwork was captured during a dance performance. It was a moment of darkness where you could only see silhouttes of objects that sometimes got lost in the darkness. This work of art reminded me of my dance experience of how you can get so lost at first  and feel like your in the dark but little by little you become better and beging to shine and step out of the darkness. 

The second accidental artwork I call Reflection. Found at LaGuardi aCommunity Collge . The style  is representational because it is representing a reflection. The negative space would be the wooden surface. There are some geometric shapes. Also a small amount of color. It was captured while working on a project. I find it ironic because in a way a flash dive can give of a certain aspect you the owner like somewhat of a reflection depending on what is inside the flash drive .

This originally was a picture of my bathroom floor, a mundane assemblage of geometric squares and ugly blue, red, and yellow tiles.I took to instagram to immortalize my bathroom floor for all to marvel at and thought, maybe I should filter this, so I filtered. I filtered twice, three, four, five, six times. What was once my floor dead floor was resuscitated and basked in it’s own ambiguity. A few glances and one might see the city lights, or a neon sign for a sketchy shop you tend to come across at 4 in the morning drunk wandering the streets with your friends. The value rushes in and out, curving around some squares, fading them. Some more than others, others like the square in the middle remain clean and sober and free from all obstructions. 2040 Bruckner Blvd.  Bathroom floors.

It's more than likely you've seen a star in the sky, unless you're blind, in which case if you live in New York you aren't missing much anyway. But to see a star return home, gather all it's essences and book the trip to visit it's maker, I doubt you've come across that until now. The orange nebula in the background emanating it's glow interact with the incandescant lights of the dying star and create a stanch blending of value. The diagonal lines of the gathering essences seem to be approaching the middle of the foreground that houses the gas giant about to implode. Abstract. A broken TV. 2040 Bruckner Blvd.

       In my own perspective you can see art all around you. The first image I found believe it or not was in the computer room at LaGuardia community college. It is located in the E building, room E141. In this image you’ll see a bunch of cables all tangled together and the center, but getting loose as you look away from the center .The shapes in this image are organic and abstract because there aren't any sharp angles it just flows together. I chose to present this image in black in white because it makes the cables look bolder and creates a contrast with the background and the foreground. This work of art was accidental because nobody placed the cables in that specific form.

     The second image is my favorite one because it doesn't look like what it actually is. I also present this image in black and white because it also helps create contrast throughout the image. This is a photograph of leather coach in my local barbershop which is located on 169st Hillside Ave, Jamaica, New York this work of art was accidental because the coach wasn't bought like that it was created by people sitting on it. I would compare this image to a river that is why I named it Main Stream because there are different areas where it breaks out but it’s still connected to the “main stream”.

"Manhattan"

While I was walking through Rockefeller center today, I noticed that this sidewalk had a distinctive yet attractive pattern. What drew my attention and compelled me to stop and take this picture, were the neat bold lines and dark colors. The way the vertical and horizontal lines interact with each other creates this interesting appearance.  As well as forming some geometric shapes such as, thin rectangles and squares by crossing each other. While viewing the photo I sense sadness and depression. Perhaps the dark purple and blue colors suggest negativity.  The purple combined with white creates a pattern at the bottom of the photo. It enhances contrast by placing the colors below the dark purple rectangle.

                                                            "The Battle of the Times"

The variety of colors and the shapes in this photograph are the essential elements that attracted and compelled me to take this photograph. I took this photo today while I was in my cousin’s bedroom on her Mac-book. The stacked books are overly colorful including the mouse pad. The books are shaped in square form and the computer mouse is the only object in the photo that has an organic shape. It also sticks out considering that the entire photo is colorful and the mouse is white. I titled this photo “The Battle of the Times” considering that the mac-book is what most of us utilize today, and aside there are printed books that are becoming less popular in our current society.
