As I look back to the first blog post I noticed that my eye
for art is more alert than before. This class helped me see all the beautiful
and different types of art. The trips we went to help me see that art isn't just
a painting or a sculpture; it’s a form of expression. This course helped me develop
a love for art. For example I would have never gone to museums outside of class
before and now I would love to visit more museums. I also learned the different
element to identify a work of art. During this course we discuss a lot of
different artist and there biographies and to me it’s interesting all the
different struggles and obstacles that these artist faced that helped them
create beautiful forms of art. Now that I learned all the different ways to experience
and acknowledge art I realize that art isn't just something that you see but it
should be something that you feel as well. I can honestly say that I am
grateful and lucky to have a wonderful course and a wonderful professor, because
if it wasn't for my professor I cold honestly say that I wouldn't feel this
type of connection to art or explore my creative side.
In my personal experience I wouldn't change a thing in this
course. I love the way we are able to express our own thoughts and not be wrong.
I would say that this course should include more photography because we are
blessed of living in a beautiful city that is full of accidental art no matter
where you go. But overall the course is excellent and I would recommend it to
anybody that comes to LaGuardia. To be completely
honest I would have liked to do something more hands on. For example I would
have liked to do like a sculpture or a painting as a group project to help enhance
communication and group work. I would also like to do more presentations
because I think it’s good to improve your public speaking and get over your
nerves. I believe that the blog post is the most useful in this course because
it connects to our generation and it’s not boring its fun because its
expressive writing and it’s a perfect way to express your creativity. This course
doesn't have to do anything better it is perfectly fine and over all FUN! I don’t
believe that college has to be boring, it can be fun and it’s helpful to just
let loose once in awhile and just embrace the world that is around us.
