Blog Post #9 and #10

This course has changed my view of art very drastically. In my first blog post, I could only see art as something that is powerful, beautiful, or sends a message. But throughout my experience with this class, I learned that it is so much more. I learned that there are different kinds of art I did not know about. I learned to see art in a different way, rather than a first glance, because maybe the painting isn't about the objects in it, but holds a deeper meaning. Accidental art, is something I will never forget. Art is everywhere. From installations, to sculptures, to the simplest contraptions, I see and experience art in a more appreciative way and a more analytic way.

Even though this wasn't a sketching or drawing class, I would've loved to use our black book more; to have more assignments on it, so it can spark our creativity a bit more. Or even a few minutes on creating something in it in class as class work. I really enjoyed the museum trips, I did not know that I would love museums as much as I do now because of this class, because I have never been to one prior to this course. Knowing the different types of art and knowing how to analyze art elements the right way is very useful to know in the future. In general, I enjoyed this class and enjoyed taking it, thank you Professor Dahlia.
