The Miracle of Christ Healing the Blind by El Greco painted in 1570. The style of this painting is idealistic, because we don't really know how Christ actually looked like. it is just giving us and idea of how the moment could have looked like. Berger states that "the social presence of a woman is different in kind from that of a man" (1). I agree, Some of the men in the painting seem to be playing the role of the women that Berger has implied. It is weird to see men wearing very little clothing and posing. There are a few women in the painting but the men are the ones being more exposed.
